Steller's Eider

Polysticta stelleri

This bird was found by Poul Koefoed at Allinge Havn, Bornholm on April 2nd 2013. It is probably the same bird as the one seen at Christiansø approximately 25 km ENE of Allinge, on March 18th 2013.
The bird was filmed by Sune Riis Sørensen on April 3rd.
In addition to this, the species is declineing in the breeding area, and it was reinstated to the Danish RBC-list in 2010 after it was off the list since 1991.
